CIPAScan ("we," "us") scans publicly available webpages that you submit and reports what a scan observes. This page explains what we collect and why, in plain language.
What we collect
- Scan input: the URL you submit for scanning, and the technical contents of that page (scripts, cookies set, links present) at the time of the scan.
- Account data: if you subscribe, your email address and payment status. Payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card number.
- Server logs: standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested) kept for security and abuse prevention. No third-party analytics or advertising scripts run on this site.
What we don't collect
We don't track visitors to localhost:3000 with third-party pixels, session recording, or advertising cookies — we hold ourselves to the same standard we scan for.
How we use scan data
Scan results are stored so you can return to a report via its link, and — for monitored sites — so we can show you how your site's grade changes over time. We do not sell scan data or share it with third parties, except a fix-request you explicitly submit, which is shared internally to quote the work.
Data retention
Free scan reports are retained for 90 days. Monitored-site scan history is retained for as long as your subscription is active, plus 30 days.
